Remede Energizing Cleansing Cream

I didn't realize how much I liked this cleanser until I ran out. It really did make my skin smoother and clearer, I started breaking out again when I ran out. It is a thick cream with a nice exfoliant-gentle enough to use as a twice daily wash. You might think it is pricy, but one tube lasts for months!

Sundari Lemon Cleanser for Kapha Skin

Sundari was developed by Christy Turlington after she became a devotee of the Yogic lifestyle. These skincare products are based on the principles of Ayurveda.

Ayurveda posits that there are three body types: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Kapha corresponds to an oily skin complexion.

Now, I'm not sure how much I buy into the philosophy. However, this is a lovely, gentle exfoliating scrub, that controls oiliness without drying. I definitely saw less blackheads whilst using it.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash

A sign that you're getting older-traditional acne treatments dry you out! This would be a great cleanser for a young, oily skin. But for me? I guess I'm getting up there*, because it doesn't help my breakouts anymore, but it does dry out my skin, leading to clogged pores, yada yada yada... Retail: $6.59
Rating: 4 lipsticks, but only if you're a teenager

*While I think that I'm about 22, I'm actually 32.

JOEY New York Egg Cream Cleanser

This is a really nice cleanser for oily skin. The exfoliating particles are very fine, and do a wonderful job of exfoliating. Skin is left feeling clean but not stripped. Skip it if you have dry skin, but oily girls should go for it!

Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream

Why don't we call this Dr. No? First, you need to understand that my skin is not sensitive to anything. I laugh in the face of glycolic peels. Now, about the cleansing cream:
First, it stung. My skin felt red, itchy and irritated.
Second, regular cleansing is not enough. You need to follow special steps: press and roll. do not rub or scrub. I don't trust products that cannot be used like all in its class.
Third, the almond meal which makes up the exfoliating particles did not rinse easily. I always ended up with some in my hair.
Finally, it left a greasy film on my skin after rinsing.

I suppose if you have very dry skin that is not irritated by any ingredients whatsoever, this is the product for you. Oh, and if that does apply to you? Ripley's Believe it or Not has something they'd like to discuss with you!
