Tree Hut Creamy Body Wash Almond & Honey

Last spring, I received a GIANT box in the mail with a full set of Tree Hut products. This, naturally, was one of them.
This really is a "creamy" body wash, leaving skin clean and soft. While I am allergic to almonds when eaten, I don't have any problem with them topically. This is a blessing as Almond Oil is great for softening skin, as is honey.
Amazingly, after checking the ingredient list, I learned that there is enough of each to make a difference appreciable in more than just scent. Here's hoping this line gets more play!

Lavender Naturals Spa Reflections Shower Gel

I liked this shower gel so much more than I expected to! It has a nice lather, surprising as it is sulfate-free. The lavender scent is gentle rather than cloying. It reminds me of the old balsam shampoo scent. For the health conscious, or for hippies, it is vegan and gluten-free.

This is fabulous! A nice, creamy, sudsy, foaming moisturizing shower cream redolent of coconut.

Softsoap Nutri-oil Moisturizing Body Wash with Almond Oil and Shea Butter

This has all the same properties of the other Softsoap Nutri-oil Body Wash, yet this one I love! Hydrating and cleansing, it's a wonderful winter body wash.

Softsoap Nutri-oil Moisturizing Body Wash with Olive Oil & Aloe Vera

This body wash is hydrating, is non-greasy, and does work for shaving, but the fragrance left me cold.

Body Shop Monoi Miracle Oil

Miracle Oil indeed! I think I used this product in every possible way-as a bath oil which was heavenly, as a body moisturizer-very hydrating and smells wonderful, and as a styling product-just one drop for beautiful shine!

Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub

This is one of those products where the expectations exceeded the delivery. I was hoping for a fantastic scrub that left me feeling clean, soft and exfoliated. The reality? The grapefruit fragrance is wonderful, but as for the rest, it left me wanting more.

Neutrogena Energizing Body Wash Fresh Citrus

I really wanted to like this body wash. Really, I did. I usually do rally well with Neutrogena products, but....eh. I found that the exfoliating particles were too fine, feeling like I had mixed sand into my body wash. Not quite the feeling I wanted. The smell is nice, but it left me feeling neither clean nor exfoliated.

Body Coffee Invigorating Body Polish

This seemed like such a good idea! I love body scrubs, and I love coffee. But the reality is this-imagine taking a used coffee filter full of grounds, mix it with some kosher salt, and rub it all over your body. Scratchy and icky. I'll just drink my coffee in the morning, thanks!

101: Fast Track to a Soft Body

Want the soft skin you get from taking a bath, but don't have the time? Try this trick. Before jumping in the shower, use a washcloth to massage bath oil all over your skin. (just don't use this one!)

In the shower, use a body exfoliator to cleanse, and voila! Soft skin, no bath required.

Vitabath Moisturizing Bath & Body Oil Plus for Dry Skin

This is an oil that doesn't so much moisturize as sit on top of the skin. The fragrance is no winner either.

L'occitane Verbena Body Salt Scrub

Proof that there is an exception to every rule! Generally speaking, I do not like salt scrubs. Any microscopic tear in your skin becomes an orifice of torture.
But, not this one! It didn't hurt a bit, and left my skin feeling exfoliated, soft, and clean. Plus, the verbena fragrance smells like lemon-scented sunshine!

Bvlgari Black Shampoo/Shower Gel

As a shower gel, this is pretty basic. It cleanses well, but it is slightly drying. You will need a body moisturizer afterwards. But the fragrance....I love Black. It is a deep sexy, musky scent, without being too overpowering. A cold weather fragrance!

As a shampoo? What can I say? I am skeptical of these multi products, and spent too much time coloring my hair to wash it with a shower gel. Maybe if you have healthy, normal, virgin hair?

Peter Thomas Roth Glycolic Acid 3% Shower & Body Cleansing Gel

Okay, first the bad news. 3% is not enough to really get any exfoliating benefits. Now the good news. I love this shower gel! It cleanses well, so you feel really clean, but your skin does not feel dry. (Remember-Squeaky clean is bad- it means you stripped your skin!) It has a fresh clean scent-great for summer!
